Getting an Animal Out of My Garage

Animals like raccoons, squirrel, rat, mice often seek out shelter in the garage. These places are easy to access and often contain food. You may not see them live but their presence in the garage door like their urine, dropping, and waste. You may also see dead insects, nest and chew marks.  Use the flashlight to check the entire garage door like walls find if there is any crack or hole, if there is, it means they enter through that point. Your first task to get rid of them is to seal these holes and crakes with proper material like you can close the gaps with a wooden board but do not use the old wooden box as mice or rat can eat them to make their way to get in the garage door.

How to get them out from your garage door?
If you want to get rid of the animals, then use the following ingredients:

  • Knife
  • expending foam
  • Food
  • Poison
  • Plastic bag
  • Gloves
  • Trap
  • Wood boards
  • Screw 3-inch
  • Drill
These animals may come to your garage due to seasonal reasons like a shelter from storm, cold, and rain. If you find them within your garage door, you can follow the given steps to remove them from your garage.
  1. Look around with the garage about the opening points and gaps; if you find one, cover them. Check out the window is it open or close, inspect with the entire garage door.
  2. Now, if you find a big hole, then take a wood board drills it with the help of screw, fix the wooden board properly, and make sure there is no open place from where these animals can get into the garage.
  3. You can use the poison to get rid of them; once they get sick, they may leave the place or may go to any other place where they find food. There is also a possibility they may die after eating the poison. So if you found them dead, use the gloves to remove their bodies from the garage.
  4. Put the dead animals into the plastic bags.
  5. If you are not in favor of killing them, then you can use the traps, use traps to catch them alive; once they get in, you can shift them to other places. One of the best traps is bucket trap, and sticky traps then allow them to get in the trap, but they did not kill them.
  6. Once you have removed the animals from your garage, clean the entire garage, and let them keep to dry. Open the windows so the fresh air can get in. If you still feel their odor, then it is better to use the liquid and bleach mixture to remove the odor. Once the area gets dry now, you can close your garage.
